Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) was founded in 1969 and has established itself as one of the leading universities in Israel. Over the years, BGU has acquired an international reputation, and in 2015 was ranked 18th in the QS World University Rankings of universities under the age of 50.

The Bengis Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation of the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management is a very strong connecting point for the Academy and Industry sectors in Be’er Sheva. The creation of the Center in 2001, as the first entrepreneurship center in an Israeli academic institution, was a response to the ever-growing need to understand the main issues faced in the fields of entrepreneurship and hi-tech. We are to creating and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship within BGU and the Negev region, which is forming the new generation of hi-tech leaders. Among the activities that the center leads and supports are international academic courses, competitions, a new technology accelerator, a mentorship program with dozens of leading mentors, and more.
